Book Review: "The Blind Prophet" by Dr. Larry Richards

At first glance, I was unsure about this new novel by renowned non-fiction author Dr. Lawrence Richards. The cover indicates it is volume three, which made me wonder if I missed the first two installments. I learned this is not the case. In fact, book one and two are due to be released this summer.
“The Blind Prophet” is a fantasy fiction account of the religious invisible war between God’s army of angels and Satan’s army of demons. The main character, Zaki, is one of the few to survive a horrible Babylonian raider attack on his community. His family is brutally murdered and he is alive, but blinded. Zaki, once a spiritual boy, abandons God and becomes the town’s recluse. Fifty years after the attack that ruined his soul, Zaki is visited by an angel who introduces him to the Invisible War. They travel together through the spirit world observing the key events of this war. The angel says God has an important mission for Zaki. Zaki’s journey to rebuild his faith begins as he works to fulfill his mission as one of God’s prophets.
While this book is a work of fiction, it draws information from the Biblical books of Daniel and Ezekiel. The author breathed new life into these Old Testament accounts I had forgotten, making it an engaging and interesting study of the Bible. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading the entire series. Dr. Larry Richards is a gifted writer who has proven he can write fiction just as well as non-fiction.

What interesting insight! You often see fiction writers try there hand at nonfiction. It's rare when it's the other way around.
This tale seems to incorporate both..I'm interested to see how it ends.

I never understood the essence of a "prequel", I guess it's coming :)
