Bound South is a charming and humorous novel about the intimate lives of three Southern women over the course of a decade. Ms. White does a brilliant job crafting together the stories of Louise, a member of Atlanta’s upper class society, her teenage daughter, Caroline, and their housekeeper’s daughter, Missy. These protagonists are so richly developed and true-to-life, I feel as though I really know them. The author discusses an array of sensitive issues including race, religion, and gender with grace and dignity. I would highly recommend this debut novel and give it a full 5 star rating! Susan Rebecca White will be attending the Decatur Book Festival this fall. Do not miss this opportunity to meet this delightful author!
