Water Cooler Wednesday: What's the hot topic of the book you're reading?

Every Wednesday we will be discussing the HOT TOPICS of the books we are currently reading. Chime in and let us know! Feel free to quote 1-2 lines to make your point.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's mine to start off...
I am enjoying Tractrix by R.J. Archer. In the beginning, the main character, Frank Morton, wins $86 million dollars in the lottery. He decides to retire and creates the Northwest Institute of Discovery and Innovation to pursue his passion of historical mysteries. It's always fun to think about what you would do if you won the lottery. Winning this much money would definitely make my dreams come true!

I had it set in my mind what I would do with that kind of money but after the downfall of the economy my focus is less materialistic and more on living life. There's no place I would NOT go. I would secure my kids educational future and travel endlessly.

Ok - Here's my HOT TOPIC. I read "31 Hours" by Masha Hamilton. Where Carol, a strong, independent woman has raised her son and sent him off to live a good life. It's what all parents hope for. Only her intuition is telling her something is wrong. Something is off about her son. Emotions of depresssion, tension and distance surface. I'm not providing any spoilers here but....

My topic is when has your intuition been right about your child? Your child is right at the end cusp of adulthood, do you continue to go the extra mile to try to keep them safe?

"31 Hours" is a fantastic book, Trig.

I really believe parents should trust their intuitions! I would definitely go the extra mile if I thought my child was in danger.
