The small town of Titusville is preparing for the annual weekend of Civil War re-enactments. But this year, things are shaping up to be much different. Three young boys make their way up into the Blue Ridge Mountains to "The Hole". This cave is surrounded by legends and ghost stories based on the group of Civil War deserters who were trapped inside it by an avalanche.

The boys see long dead soldiers walking the former battlefield. And soon, the townspeople begin seeing them as well. What do they want? And why, after all this time, have they decided to walk among the living? When musket balls shot from ancient ghostly weapons have the ability to kill the living, it brings a new meaning to the word nightmare.

Drummer Boy is a spooky tale that weaves the past and present together in a paranormal story that is sure to keep you turning the pages. Although it is not a small novel, I finished it in two days, simply because I was unable to put it down!
